Come With Me To Zambales

Hi kids! Mom’s typing this on her poor old laptop that just keeps getting worse each day. It started with an audio issue, then the camera broke, and now the screen’s full of green lines, glitching even as I write this! I’ll definitely need a new one soon, before my eyes give up.

Still, I wanted to squeeze in this quick blog since I have so many drafts waiting to be written.

So without further ado, here’s my Zambales blog!

Friday night, my friend Isay picked me up and we headed to Amaia in Cavite to meet up with the rest of the gang. For this trip, it’s my bestie Gail, Stevie, Isay, and Ren. Stevie welcomed us with some steak, and wow, it was a bomb! They really know how to start the weekend right.

We hit the road the next morning after I clocked out from work.

Quick stopover for breakfast.

Honestly, it was my first time in Zambales. I was supposed to go last year with another circle of friends, but I couldn’t join because I had to take care of my dad back then; the trip went through without me. That’s why I was extra ecstatic to finally experience the place this time around.

We rented out this cabin for 3 days and 2 nights at Agos Beach Resort. It looked so nice!

They even had a hammock. I just had to try it!

We all changed into our beachwear for a quick dip at the shore.

OOTD

The waves were a bit too strong, so I decided not to swim.

This bitch has to stay alive, lol. But here I am, making emote kunwari for the pics anyway!

Serving full-on turista vibes with our photo ops—because even my elite circle of 3 loyal likers deserve premium content. 💅📸✨

Gail's beach mat is kawaii af

We had dinner at Ola, where I tried their Beef Tapa. It was just okay, but the staff were really nice and accommodating, plus it’s conveniently close to our Airbnb so not bad at all.

They had a swing!!

Afterward, we headed back to the beach and caught the sky just in time for a beautiful sunset

And believe me when I say this -

IT'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SUNSET I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE

I’m the kind of girl who loves taking pics of the sky when it’s all pretty, and this one definitely tops all the sunsets I’ve seen. The waves hitting the shore looked like clouds on land, with the orange glow reflecting on the water. Aaaahh, pictures just don’t do it justice!

We went back to our cabin and dipped in the wading pool, sipping wine and dancing the night away. I had to retire early though I hadn’t slept yet from my shift that morning.

I woke up early the next morning for a quick run. I promised myself to always squeeze in short runs whenever I visit a new place it’s the perfect way to explore while getting some cardio in.

morning face + my "I'm here" photo!!

But before running, I dropped by the beach to catch a glimpse of the sunrise.

The clouds looked like cotton candy, and you could still spot Mr. Moon hanging around. The waves were extra dramatic too

Back to today’s agenda—running. I wasn’t sure where to start since it was all sand and uneven roads, so I walked out to the highway instead. Best decision, because it gave me amazing views of the mountains and greenery. I’ve never felt more energized and relaxed on a run.

There was this long, empty stretch of road lined with nothing but trees and plants it might look scary at night, but in the morning it felt so peaceful and welcoming.

I ended up on the other side of Liwliwa, spotted a few food places, and even passed by some cute stores with mirrors outside… and of course, I just had to stop for a quick mirror shot.

I ran for 8k that morning before returning to the cabin. THAT FELT SO GOOOOD!

no pain, no injuries, just me enjoying the view while putting in some training lol

Come lunchtime, my friends and I indeed visited one of the spots I saw that morning - Taco Joint

It was so filling! I had their Birria Tacos, and we also got some more from their menu. It's a feast!

I was so full.

Right after, we headed to Agos ng Liwa since we all had some unfinished work to catch up on. The place had sockets (lifesaver!) so we ordered some drinks while working. I got a Matcha—thankfully no palpitations this time, lol. Maybe not the best, but hey, can’t complain!

Working, girlieee ♥

Headed back to the cabin to change into cute matching tops. We did another photoshoot by the beach.

Quick snap!

They went for a dip in the ocean while I just made pa-cute on the shore because I am NOT about to be tangay ng waves today!!! Not even overreacting, the waves were super strong, enough to sweep you away if you’re not a swimmer. Surfers, on the other hand, would be living their best life out there.

so here's me chilling by the shore

we watched the sunset again! (so pretty!)

By around 8 PM, we decided to grab dinner but joke’s on us, most of the stores nearby were already closed?? Whutt. 😂 Good thing Ola was still open, so that’s where we ended up. Unlike my last experience, I ordered their tortang talong meal this time and it was way better not just mine, but everyone’s food too!

the demure version

the pokpok pose I got them to do lol

I love goofing around as you may have noticed lol

When we got back to the cabin, we opened another bottle of wine, had karaoke, and danced while Stevie sang.

Such a fun night! I was so tired the next morning!

Chillin by the hammock in this weather♥

I packed up my stuff and headed to New Liwa for breakfast. I don’t usually order sausage when eating out ’cause I swear they all taste the same but this one was actually hella good! Their matcha drink was just okay, the usual flavor, but again—THANK GOD no palpitations this time!

today's look

Ren already clocked in coz it's a Monday sadly.

We drove back to Manila, and I got home just in time for my shift!

It was such a fun experience lots of laughs, lots of dancing, and of course, my girls by my side! Even Stevie, the only thorn among the roses—was super game and made the night even more fun!

Overall, the cabin experience was good. If I had to comment, it would just be the weak signal reception and the water supply but other than that, everything was fine. The AC worked well, and the location was in a more secluded part of Liwliwa, which meant enjoying a less crowded beach.

I was honestly surprised about the nightlife, basically, there wasn’t any, at least not from where we stayed. Most stores closed as early as 8 PM. But if you’re someone who values a slow, quiet kind of vacation, I’d highly recommend this side of Liwliwa. It’s nothing like Boracay with its endless bars and loud, banging music.

Will I go back? Probably yes. I’ve always dreamt of doing a solo trip to Zambales. I even have a bunch of TikTok videos bookmarked about it. So who knows, maybe one day I’ll finally make that happen.

We have reached the end of our blog.

Thank you, kids and chismosas for sticking around!

I'll see you soon ♥

xoxo
