Run 5K With Me - Gcash Run

Hey kids, it’s mom!

Long overdue blog but it’s here.

This run was totally unplanned at all! It’s not even under my name but my cousins.

He backed out since his friends weren’t able to secure slots so he gave it to me. On the flip side, my friends had long signed up for this but I really thought of skipping this race coz I need to flew out of Manila the next week and just lowk anxious about getting injured during the run. It was only a 5k but knows what could happen. I still gave in though. COZ MY FRIENDS WILL BE THERE!

Came the day of the race,

I slept over at Sadae’s house since they’re already in Makati area. We walked our way to Ayala Triangle and actually almost missed our gun start time! We were legit running to the venue even before it started. When we got to the starting line, we were all sweating af struggling to catch our breaths!

We were on 5k Wave 2 since there were a lot of runners for the category.

Yep, one plant is planted for every runner = basically saving the earth, duh.

As usual, we went at our own paces lol. It's like a silent rule because you don't actually want to slow down your friends or have them waiting for you and vice versa. We all just wanted to do our best and have fun while doing it.

5K is usually my comfort distance. It's not too tiring; it's very beginner and slow-runner friendly. If only my house were near the good spots, you would probably see me outside every day.

This is my first fun run for 2026 and now that more and more of my friends are getting into their running era (FINALLY!) it could only mean more races together in the future! I'm just so excited for what's to come.

Also, my first time wearing my Evo SL! I have a bad habit of not breaking in a new pair, but this one was okay. Surprisingly, it was comfy. Not sure because of the distance as well, but it was light on the feet. I was floating!

The only downside of running in Ayala is the narrow road, and sometimes people walk in groups, and if you're chasing a PR or want to at least get a good stat, this could be a bit of a problem since this could potentially slow you down; of course, you can always overtake. Just be careful of tripping and bumping into other runners.

Before I realized it, I was on the finish line!

Sai was already there, then we waited for Sadae to finish. Once the Powerpuff Girls were complete, we took vids and did malupet na transitions together because let's all be honest—THAT IS WHY WE RAN.

We're all just clout chasers lol—the cute type!

monkey eat banana, monkey no cramps!

First medal for 2026!

Doing silly poses! I can only imagine other poses we will be doing in the future runs!

not complete without my siganture pose!

Changed and met the rest of the gang!

We decided to grab some matcha for our post-run treat. This is prolly one of the best and most authentic matcha I've had in a while, next to Tokyo Matcha! I like it so much. They even let you pour the matcha on your drink.

This day has been so productive!

I'm happy.

I'M SO EASILY PLEASED LOL

But anyway, I need to start drafting my Bohol blog coz ughh it's going to be so long. Maybe I'll divide it into parts idk

But that's all for now.

Bye kids! See you on my next blog!

xoxo
