If you're my facebook friend, you'd know how flooded my timeline is from all the ALSB posts and since I can't still shut myself down after finishing the series I decided to make a post for it. It's my first time watching a Chinese Drama and I'm so glad I did. Didn't disappoint !

"A Love So Beautiful" is a Chinese web series based on the novel "To Our Pure Little Beauty" by Zhao Gangan. The story is highschool romance about the one-sided love of Chen Xiao Xi(Shen Yue) to Jiang Chen(Hu Yi Tian). If you have seen the Taiwanese drama "It Started With A Kiss", the story is a bit similar but I'll be explaining it to you why you should still watch it before you judge.

MIGHT.SPILL.SOME.SPOILERS.

1.) It Will Give You Some Major Highschool Throwback.
We've all been there, where everything was so cute, simple and innocent. You go eat lunch on the school canteen with your circle of friends, failing or pulling an all nighter during exams. Running on the hallways, being chased by a guard, getting scold at by your teacher, and even embarrassing yourself in front of the class. Those were the days where your only problem is how to pass your exams and graduate. No adulting responsibilities like the ones we all have now ;__;

2.) Reminds You Of Your Highschool Crush
We all had our crushes back then. I personally relate to Xiao Xi since I used to like a guy before. Watching the drama made me remember all those high school memories I've had with him. Even just seeing him pass by our class room was enough to make the butterflies in my stomach go wild. Don't you remember just talking to that person makes your day special? You steal glances when you have the chance, your friends tease you when he/she is around and lastly, you seem to love going to school a little more.

3.) Reflects Real Life Events
The story does not evolve only to high school romance, it also shows real life scenarios like failing your exams, denying admission for college, that time when Xiao Xi thought her Dad is cheating on her Mom. When Jiang Chen's mom is forcing him to get to a school that he doesn't like. Wu Bo Song's Dad treating him only as a trainee not a son and lastly, Li Wei's struggle for depression. It's not all about the "kilig'', this series portrayed some of the major problems youths of today face.

4.) Jing Xiao and Lu Yang's Love Story
Our second lead couple's story is what we actually want to happen to Jiang Chen and Xiao Xi. You guys, their love story is gold ! I cried it's just too sincere and sweet. Give the fact that it also started as a one-sided love. Ugh I really wanna spill everything !! But I'll leave it for you to watch !

5.) Wu Bo Song's Unconditional Love for Xiao Xi
If I were to award him, it would be the "Most Effort Award" coz really, he literally did everything for Xiao Xi. G na G talaga siya ! Second Lead Syndrome!
I'm Jiang Chen bias, but his sincerity and affection towards Xiao Xi made my heart shookedth to death! He was there for her when Jiang Chen was not.
Can I keep this guy in my pocket for me to keep ?

6.) Jiang Chen and Xiao Xi's Kilig Moments
I just love how their characters improved as the series progressed especially Jiang Chen's. Honestly, they don't even need to go all out to make the viewers go wild, little sweet gestures is enough to make us go gaga !
That's how their chemistry works ! ♥
Their story maybe cliche but wait until you see it for yourself.
I swear you would love it too!

I'll probably do another post about ALSB coz I'm that addicted!
Obvious bang di pa din ako nakaka move on ?
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Nuod ka na din kase mumsh!

See you on my next entry !

We're on the last leg of this Baguio Trip!
If you haven't read the first part, click here.
This will be the second and the last day before we head back to Manila.
And for your reference, I'll be leaving our total expenses and itinerary from this trip. Also I'm gonna be sharing you how we got scammed. Stay tune at the end of this blog.

So for our second day, we dropped by the market to buy pasalubongs. Supposedly, it should be from The Good Shepherd but the line there was so long! :(

It's a pasalubong haven for every tourist like us!
You can see so many products starting from the famous strawberry jam, ube jam to chocolate flakes, peanut brittle. They also have souvenirs like wallets, keychains and bags! So many varieties to choose from.

We all shopped til we drop lol kidding !!
lampera te nascam nga kami eh ;___; sayang :(

So after buying some stuff, we ate at this local karinderya just a few steps away from the stalls. the food there is good guys I swear!! Some of my friends even bought take outs! It was that delicious *Q*

Feeling all full, we drove to the terminal around 8:30 am. Our bus ticket is scheduled at 10:40 am but since there's not much passengers on the waiting bus, they asked us to hopped in.

So here it is.
We're leaving Baguio :(
Gonna miss the cold weather so much ;___;
It was fun while it lasted.

I mentioned that I'll be telling you guys on how we got scammed.
So just to raise awareness, I'll be sharing this story.
From the Cubao Terminal, I asked Camelle (our new friend that we met at the Pasay Terminal) if they already got a transient at Baguio to stay at and she said yes. Feeling the urge to have a smooth trip, I asked her if she can chat her host and ask if there were still available rooms for us. I got in contact with her host and asked her if we can pay the full amount once we get there since we don't have any means for the payment method ( since we're already lining up for the bus) but she was insisting that we pay for the reservation fee of half the total price of the room. Since there were four of us in the room, she charged us Php1,200/night and we told her we're gonna stay there for 2 night so she doubled the price at Php2,400. She even sent me a photo of the room. I was in no way of doubting her. She sounded very convincing. We asked if there will be some toiletries and towels and she replied yes (and we believed her ;__;) Now back to the story, she's insisting that we pay the reservation fee so she can reserve the room for us and inform the "receptionist" of our names.
Since it's holy week, we're already expecting the amount of tourists going there as well so just to be safe we went ahead with it. Little did we know, that's the start of us being scammed. She told me to pay the reservation fee through Paymaya and she even knew there were 7/11 nearby. I did pay the half and sent her the details. We were all excited that time !
We never thought about being scammed at all. She even told us to inform her once we reached Baguio so "her van"can fetch us. While on our way, she asked what ulam do we want and she gave out options wtfff and we were all happy lolol coz it's free !

So after 7hour-ish hours, we reached our destination and we informed her.
She told us the van will be late coz her "manang" was "baking cupcakes"for us so okay, we were all chill still. After about like 30 minutes, she instructed us to go to the other Victory Liner Terminal near the Police Station and 7/11. We headed on our way and spent another good one hour. Our friend, Camelle was calling her and the "host"said they'll be picking us up with a gray Innova, but none came. It was a solid 2 hours of waiting time, they found out we were scammed coz the supposedly "host"was asking us to pay the full amount before they can fetch us. That's the time we started doubting. Also the reason she instructed us to switch the pick up location coz there was a smart padala nearby and she kept on telling us to pay the full amount.

We were all dumbfounded, of course. We never thought about it.
It was cold and all we wanted was to have a place to stay for the night.
Since there's a nearby Police Station, we reported the incident, shown them the conversations and hands down to them for being so quick and accommodating. They transferred us to another station to file a complaint and we were told that there was no "Tina's Transient"registered on their list. I feel bad but I didn't want it to spoil our trip. Everyone, even though feeling betrayed just kind of brush it off. We all just wanted to rest after everything that we've been through.
Accepting the faith it is lol.
While we're on the station, Bryan roamed outside to find a transient and he did found one. After filing a complaint, we left the Police Station and headed to the where Bryan was. There, we were able to get rooms to spend the night.

Lesson Learned.
When I found out we were scammed, that's when I realize a lot of loopholes that I have missed. First, I didn't even checked if the host have a legit facebook page nor check if the reviews were true. Also, didn't check her own profile. I was too jolly to go with the flow that I have forgotten to double check the important stuff :( I do feel guilty since I was the one who contacted her myself ;___; Sorry my dear chinguyaaa ! (-A-)
Di na ako magbibida bida sornaaa pramis.

But kidding aside, our trip wouldn't be the way it is if it wasn't for that incident.
Coz hey we made new friends who will now share the same memory that we have about Baguio. Being scammed is not something to be happy about of course. It just made me realize to always be mindful of who you trust. Don't give in easily to a stranger especially if it involves money. Things can get worst. I mean what if that's the only money that we have on our pockets ?
Outcomes can still be different, that's why we were still thankful we have extra money and found a transient nearby. I grew closer to the people with me on that trip and the bond that we shared will never be forgotten.
Team Scam all the way loll !!

One item ticked off my bucket list: BAGUIO

The City of Pines !

Since this will be a long post, I will be dividing this into two parts.
This one will be about our Day 1 summary. The part 2 will be our complete itinerary and expenses. :)

Heyyyyy!!
So I just got home from our one heck of a crazy, memorable and biglaang Holy Week trip to Baguio with Bryan and two of my team mates, Charm and Mina.

First thing's first, we had no idea we can skip work on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday so we were planning this trip late. It was I and Bryan's idea to go to Baguio after our shift. I haven't packed my clothes and the only stuff I have in my bag were just my work necessities. No change of clothes, no toiletries, not even an extra underwear lol. But I took the challenge. It's not every day you get to take a 4 day break from work ! Feeling all hype, I invited my team mates one by one and I got two of them to come, Mina and Charm who were too excited for the adventure!

Came the end of the shift, we dropped by 7/11 to buy our biglaang trip starter packs and had breakfast before we headed on our way to Victory Liner Pasay.
We were all taken a back when the long lines welcomed us there. We talked to this couple who were last ones on the line we were in. They told us the line in Cubao wasn't as overcrowded as it was here in Pasay so we all agreed to take a cab to Cubao. #instantfriendship!! So the six of us were now a team :)
Cubao, however was also a blockbuster terminal and it is to be expected since it's Holy Week.

I asked Camelle, the girl we met at the terminal if the transient they're gonna stay at still have some available rooms for the 4 us. I talked to her host and paid through Paymaya the reservation fee worth Php1,200. Little did we know we were scammed !! (I'm gonna make a separate post about this, don't wanna spoil the fun!). It was already 10am and we're still on the line. That's where Bryan contacted the Grab page and asked for a van rental. It only took a minute before he was bombarded with messages from different drivers. There were only 6 of us and we need to complete the 10pax offer to lessen our fee. Good thing, Charm was so in for the challenge, she approached the other passengers one by one and asked them to join us in the van. Didn't took too long to complete the four remaining slots! Naysuuu Charm !!

The van arrived around 11am and off we went to Baguio!
So nice to meet new people on the way :) We paid Php850/pax.
It was so traffic and I got so nervous while we're driving along Kennon Road.
After what feels like forever and a 7 hour travel time we reached Baguio at 6pm!

All haggard lol

The very first thing I tried was the Strawberry Taho ♥

So we waited for our host to fetch us at the Terminal like what they've said but after two hours of waiting it was a no show. We reported the incident to the police station and while we were at it. Bryan walked around the neighborhood looking for a nearby transient and he did find one !!!

We checked in at Sta. Theresa Inn the staffs were so accommodating and they let us in despite no reservation whatsoever. Since we got there at night we all agreed to extend our stay for 3d2n. Finally we get to rest!

This is how our room looks like for 4 persons.

Messy table I know hahahaha!

It was 10pm when we went out to have dinner at Good Taste!

And drop by night market to shop for ukay ukay coz obviously we have no spare clothes lolol
Everything is so cheap thereeee !! You can buy decent clothes at Php20!!
Walking out at night with the cold breeze brushing onto your skin. Auq na umuwe mars! TTuTT We got home at around 1 am and called it a night.

Still wearing the same clothes we had for work ftw!

DAY 1

You really have to make the heater your best friend!
thank God, our inn's heater is working.
It was freezing cold, the water can kill meeee!

Kick started our day with a breakfast from 50's Diner♥
I've always been fond of diners, trust me I was internally screaming all throughout. It was my first time seeing a 50's diner and gawd I'm so in love *Q* From the screaming bright neon lights, interior, and even the  choice of music they played. Everything is perfect.

Will totally make a separate post for this Diner ! ♥

Headed straight to Mines View Park.
The amount of people can make you dizzy. Wala eh ginusto namin to hahahaha!
Photo ops like the tourist we are!!

So hard to have a spot in the sea of tourists!!

Next Stop: The Good Shepherd
Planned to buy pasalubong there but the line was just so long!
So we bought ice cream instead xD

Ube Taho ♥
Oh the things you don't get to try in Manila.

Dropped by The Mansion and Wright Park

Charm and Mina being a photographer for this couple lololol!
Supportive niyo mga mars!

Ako naman hahaha #pagbigyan

We didn't go around The Botanical Garden much

so we took a cab to get to Burnham Park.

We tried riding a boat for Php100 for 30minutes.

Also, Go Karts which is Php100 for an hour.

Last stop was SM Baguio where we had our late lunch.
SM Baguio is known for being an open area which means they don't have an air conditioning system set up. The cold breeze is already enough and is at par to an actual air-con.

Feeling like our feet would fall off from all the walking we did, we went home at around 3pm and spent the the whole afternoon sleeping lol I know right?
hahahahaha we're just so tired!

We woke up in the middle of the night feeling hungry. It was raining too!
The weather was much colder now and we're all starvinggggg
We're considering going back to 50's Diner (which I'm in favor since it's open 24 hours) but when I checked their operating hours on google, it's closed due to Good Friday.
So we all agreed to have some midnight walk to find food lol and the first thing we noticed was the 24 Hour Samgyupsal Restaurant just across our building. WTF.
Without a doubt, we went in!!

They even have Hanbok that you can try on !
To top that we had the place all to ourselves.

Samgyupsal is lifeeeee !
I ordered Chajjangmyeon too ♥

and before we leave, I bought ice cream!!
There was a light drizzle when we wen outside.

I was talking to Bryan when Mina shouted, "Ate Grace, magsalita ka",
Confused I kept on talking and that's when we all realized it was super cold we can "see our breath" !! The ones we only see in Korean Dramas ugghhh!!
We were all laughing like the child in us xD We spend a good couple of minutes just admiring and breathing funnily to see the steam coming out of our mouths when we talk!! Yoko na talaga umalis don :( That's my first time experiencing that ;__; And God knows when will be the next one.

Day 1 is done !!

I still have a lot of stories to tell but I will be leaving that to Part 2.
The full story of our scam, our itinerary and total expenses.
