31st Birthday at Jollibee!

I've been dreaming about having my birthday at Jollibee since I was a kid, but we cannot afford it, so when I finally had some adult money I could use, I gave myself one! This party was supposed to happen last year for my 30th but I had to cancel due to my dad's passing.  I was still grieving; it just didn't feel right.

A year after, I finally pushed through with the plan. My darling and good friend, Feli even paid for the reservation fee! I was surprised.

First I created an invitation that had QR code linked directly to a Google Form for the RSVP.

Here's the invitation.

Then I looked for suppliers for the loot bags. I wanted them to be cute, personalized, and to have a personal touch.

I got a strawberry-scented candle (sent them the design that I wanted for the box and on the candle itself.) It says "Manifest that shit" on the glass

an essential balm, (I sort of rebranded and named it "Lust Balm" lol I made the logo from Canva, my lifesaver)

that kiss mark was actually mine. I kissed a paper and then scanned it. I'm soo extra for nothing!

a green tea pouch (since I'm a greentea/matcha girlie this is such a must for me!).I asked them to put in the phrase "You Can't Spill This Kind Of Tea" in front.

an R-18 sticker pack, a thank you card

and a magnetic photo of each and every one who RSVP'd

. I spent a month just stalking them making sure the photos I will be printing out were the new ones lol tbh I enjoyed the process, no matter how tedious and time-consuming it was.

Over 40 people RSVP’d, which still blows my mind. I can’t believe I know 40 people IRL.

I also ordered a customized cake.

I just wanted everything to be pink/princess-type shit with a little vintage inspo from Sabrina Carpenter.

As for the game's prizes, most of them were some adult stuff like condoms, lube, a pregnancy test kit, Salonpas, a pimple patch, Katinko, etc. Packing them in pink ichigo wrappers was so fun, especially since no one knew what was inside.

I welcomed my birthday by going out at 11 PM on the 19th. I was really debating whether to go because Christmas traffic and commuting in BGC is a nightmare. But since I already turned 30 last year, I promised myself I’d celebrate it.

Normally, I’d ask friends to hang out for a pre- or post-birthday celebration, but that gets tiring over time. So I decided not to wait for anyone. I’d celebrate on my own. It felt liberating, and I was genuinely happy.

This year was a bit of a last-minute decision, but I'm glad I still went.

Didn't make any reservation, just went with the vibe.

While walking around Forbes Town, I passed by Reserve PH and casually asked if they had an available table. Next thing I knew, I was eating fries and sipping on a strawberry daiquiri.

The night was lovely. Music choices were bomb (a bit biased because they be blasting Taylor Swift and some 2000s hits lol). The staff even took a photo of me and posted it on their facebook lolol

Since it was a bar, they didn’t have cake on the menu, so I looked for a café and found Auro Chocolate Café, which is open 24/7.

It was a 10-minute walk from Forbes Town, so I headed there.

The place was still buzzing when I got there; that was around 1:30am-ish, and people were still outside!

I got a Matcha Strawberry for free because it's ma bday yayy and ordered this cake called Auro Blanco Calamansi Tarta de Queso. It was 100000/10!!!!

I sang myself a happy birthday song!!!

After enjoying my cake, I decided to head home since I still had a party to prepare for later that day. I just wanted a quiet moment to myself before the chaos.

Gojo casually celebrating with me lol

On December 20, around 2 PM, I started preparing everything we needed to bring. I coordinated with the bakeshop for cake delivery while the photobooth staff kept calling. Super busy. It was raining too, and booking a ride was such a struggle. At one point, I honestly thought people might bail because of the weather and traffic.

When I arrived, a few people were already in the party room.

Slowly, one by one, my friends showed up.

quick selfieeee~

We posed for the photobooth while waiting for other peeps to arrive.

landi landi lang sa camera lol

I couldn’t believe they still came. And they brought gifts.

I have never received this many gifts in my entire life. I was so touched.

The party officially started, and the games began. Thankfully, my friends were all game.

All were competitive for a box of condoms lololol

Then the food finally arrived.

Took photos of my friends and family!

Then after eating, Jollibee himself made an appearance, and they sang me a happy birthday.

My heaaaaaaaaaaaaart!!

At this point, I took a moment to look at each and everyone's faces while they sang. It felt weird seeing all your circle of friends in one room coz I got different personalities for each of them lol

When the party was wrapping up, I handed them their loot bags, and they were all happy about the magnetic photocards. They were a crowd favorite!

Last photo op session with each groups!

I promised my college friends an after-party since we hadn’t had a proper get-together in a while. I took them to Auro Café again (yes, because it’s open 24/7), but this time we ordered alcoholic drinks. I had a strawberry margarita.

The gifts were sent home via Lalamove because there were so many. I couldn’t carry everything, but I kept the flowers because they made me feel kilig.the most.

The ride on the way home was the worst, though; it took me 3 hours to get a cab. T^T

It was a very productive birthday! Now that I’ve finally fulfilled my dream of throwing a party at Jollibee, next year’s birthday (hopefully) will be a trip somewhere. That’s the plan.

Who knows, kids, maybe I will go with your dad on that trip

If not, then that's still okay.

mom is busy with life too.

Thank you for reading, and thank you to everyone who came, celebrated with me, and even brought gifts. I felt so incredibly loved. For wearing pink and also for keeping it child-free! I take birthdays very seriously, so I truly appreciate each and every one of you who braved the BGC traffic and the Christmas rush just to spend your Saturday night with me. 💖

To everyone who greeted me, thank you!

and to those who forgot

y'all are dead to me

bye kids!

I'll see you on my December blog!

xoxo
