February was very productive, and I loved every bit of it!
I met with my former coworkers from West. It was so fun catching up with them. It's been so long. We had dinner at The Wholesome Table. Their lasagna was hella good!
Then headed to Zion-1 bar for some drinks. They even had karaoke, and ofc we all took advantage of it. The rest of the night was spent just laughing and reminiscing about our old days! Got me some margarita. Two glasses of them, actually. At this point, it's my safe choice of cocktail.
On a Sunday, I went out with my sister's family. I also got my eyes checked because they're getting more blurred and been getting headaches around my temples and eyes. Turned out I had an astigmatism all along and needed graded lens too! So long 20/20 vision :( All this time, I was only using an anti-rad glasses to lessen the strain but didn't think I would be using graded lenses now. :( Just sad.
Anyway, I bonded with my nephew, and we ate at Botejyu. Their salad was bomb!
On the following weekend, I met up with duhh ladiesss to have some much-needed girl time! Such a refreshing day without the menfolk. I craved for moments like this.
We stayed at Lady Luck Cafe while waiting for our movie schedule. I tried their Banana Matcha. It looked chill but that drink gave me some palpitations. lol it's a hit this time huh
We watched "The Loved One". Honestly, it was ok. I was expecting to cry REAL HARD after seeing the trailer. Good acting, of course, but maybe I'm just in need of some major tearjerker movie. Or maybe I'm just numb?? could be yeah...
Have you also been to Sm Aura's cinema? Their ladies' room is Spy x Family theme!!! I was surprised. It's so pink and cutesyyy!!
After the movie, we had some quick lunch at Kodawari. Their restaurant's interior was so cute. They even have anime characters on display. I loved the tofu dish, but we realized most of what we ordered was a bit oily.
For our last stop, we decided to have a tea time at Paul. It was really what I needed after a long day of chika and eating oily dishes lol. I loved the ambiance of this cafe, it's so shalaaaa
On the night of the Chinese New Year, my cousins and I had a sponty trip to Binondo coz we're 0000.01% chinese soooo.... it's only right to celebrate
I used to go here every CNY back when I was in Manila. Missed seeing the bright lights, the buzz, the crowd, and, of course, the food. We offered a prayer, lit up some incense, bought some gold-stained accessories and some lucky charms (because 2026 is already sus) and then we went around food hunting.
We tried this Xiao Long Pao which was good! The sugarcane drink was so sweet, though. I mean, it's literally sugarcane lol but wtvr! still too sweet for my liking. I would have loved to try the mochi stall, but there were so many people in line.
When the weekend came, I was sweating my ass off playing badminton. Never played for years, so this was such a fun experience. The best part?? NO MEN IN SIGHT... AGAIN!
This is peak girlhood with all our cute fits! I still wanna try tennis, though, but this will do for now.
The last weekend of February, I spent it with your Tita Rey and Tita Zap. We tried this high tea experience at High Street Lounge in Shangri-La BGC. Yeah we're basically in the age where we enjoy these kinds of things. Everything here is so still, quiet, and cozy and it just made me realize that I really need to be rich coz I want finer things in life lolol

Onto my Netflix Department
First was Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich & Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich. It made me sick to my core. How someone can have this level of evilness is beyond me. The people who are involved, the politicians, the royalty. I'm so mad because no one is still being accounted for, and it's been years since that happened. it just goes to show how unfair and unjust the system is. You can get away as long as you have money and power. Such a scary world we live in.
The second movie was "Everybody Knows Every Juan" - I applaud the one-take shot of the movie. That shit is not easy to do. Love the plot too, especially the confrontation scene. As someone who looked after our sick loved ones, it spoke to me. This movie is a perfect mix of drama, chaos, and comedy.
Third one was "Even If Love Disappears Tonight." I took the title lightly. I was still expecting some cute love story, but boy, I was wrong! Cried the whole time. To be fair, it was just a random movie I clicked on on Netflix. Didn't read the description at all, but it was still a good watch. 1M/100 would reco!

3.) Who Knows - Daniel Caesar (the line "maybe we'll get married one day, but who knows" is so beautifully made. Uncertainty sure is quite haunting.)

I think that's all for my February. I almost forgot Valentine's Day. I spent it sleeping lol
Being single for so many years, I've gotten used to treating it just as a normal day.
Honestly though, if I ever get into a relationship, you would probably cringe at my lovey-dovey posts with a long-ass caption. You all would probably mute or hide me.
what can I say? I'm a lover girl, so SUE ME!!!
