2025 Recap

Hi kids, future dad of my kids, and whoever cares enough to waste a couple of minutes of their time.

Hi, hello! How's your New Year?

If you want to read my 2024 wrap it's here

We're only a couple of days into 2026, and I'm already (kids, cover your eyes) FUCKED

So to everyone claiming “2026 is my year”, sainyo na.

I'm not even gonna make agaw coz jusko my life is already falling apart.

But that's a story for another day.

Today, we’re celebrating the highlights of my 2025.

And honestly? Saying I’m grateful is such an understatement.

There’s just so much to be thankful for!

Let's break down the highlights, shall we?

1.) Running era! - I have never once thought I would enjoy running as someone as big as me.
I HATED DOING CARDIO SO MUCH! I would skip it during workouts, but the casual morning walks became a habit, and one day I just thought, "What if I try jogging... then running...?" Next thing I knew, I was buying an Apple watch, a good running shoes and downloading Strava.
Heck, I even signed up for my first 3k fun run on the same week of getting those.

It got so addicting that I kept pushing my mileage every weekend.
Until I reached my first 10k! Then I signed up for my first 10K, then 12K, and then my longest distance—10 miles (16K) which was oddly weird because last year's me wouldn't have even thought of walking on the treadmill.  I run mostly for the feeling, and I’m probably the slowest runner out there… but who cares?

Eventually, I started running with friends and fam!

Here are the lists of fun runs I've joined.

but...will I do it agan this year?? Maybe yes, maybe no.
I'm tired lol but I wanna keep doing it.

What if.... we try a half marathon just for the plot?

lol here's to more runs!

2.) Got my 6th tattoo—and it was a souvenir from our Bora trip with friends. For something permanent, I would usually plan it WAY WAY ahead of time, designs and everything, but my friends and I were feeling spontaneous that night. It was even a mystery tattoo, so we just accepted our fate and hoped for a decent design or at least something we liked.
I love mine though.

Got some cool designs; hopefully this year we can get more tattoos, hehehe (Dad... please don't haunt me in my dreams !)

3.) Flew to Boracay twice in the same month! - The first trip was with family, the second with friends. The advantage of the second time? You already know which restaurants are worth it… and which ones aren’t lol. Even though my bank account was crying, it was still such a fun trip.

4.) Attended a Halloween Party—because I have always wondered how it would feel to attend one. I see it on the news and on Tiktoks, so when I stumbled upon a sports bar hosting a Halloween party. I didn't hesitate to join. Maybe next year I'll go hella crazy with the costumes!

5.) Went to Bohol - I was able to go to Panglao, Anda and Guindulman to visit my dear friend, Mina! Honestly, there’s something so therapeutic about being in the province, way better than just sticking to the touristy spots. Anda, particularly, is stunning af!

6.) Baked my own cookies - if there's one sweet treat I would always go for, it's the chocolate chip cookies, and my bestie, Gail taught me to make one. I was so mayabang coz IT WAS THAT GOOD! My future husband, you better have a sweet tooth, kase yan ulam naten errday!!!

pls believe me, the photo doesn't do justice ughhh

7.) Went to Puerto Princesa, Palawan—I loved how chill this city is. It’s got the perfect mix of nature and city life without the crazy traffic of Manila, thank goodness. Maybe this year I’ll explore the other parts too, like El Nido or Coron.

8.) Witnessed the most breathtaking sunset in Zambales—I was honestly in awe. I love sunsets so much, and this one felt like the universe giving me a quiet pat on the back, like, “You made it through today. I’m proud of you.” T^T For a few minutes, it felt like nothing else existed just the orange sky and the sound of strong waves crashing in aaaahhhhh take me back!

9.) Went to Siquijor and Dumaguete—  This was a bit of a side quest I randomly said yes to and I loved every second of it. Siquijor truly feels like an island of its own, with so many hidden gems still waiting to be discovered. There’s something about its mystical vibe that just pulls you in. In short, papakulam pa din kitang animal ka hehe

10.) Running while on vacation - I’ve somehow turned it into a tradition to squeeze in a quick run in every city I visit. Mostly because it lets me explore more spots and figure out which areas we should actually go to… and alsoooo for Strava, because my three loyal likers must be fed.

11.) I wrote around 10–15 songs this year—still just me and my ukulele. The real struggle is trying to keep my long ass press-on nails or decent nail polish when "creativity" randomly hits on a Tuesday morning hehe I’ve learned the trick is to deprive yourself of playing for a bit, so when you finally pick it up again, the ideas come rushing in and the creative juices are overflowing… (wow?) as if I don’t use the same four basic chords every time lol

12.) Jollibee Birthday! - This birthday was all about finally putting my childhood dreams to rest. That party was everything I had hoped for… and then some. I’m beyond grateful to everyone who showed up, celebrated with me, and made the night so special. The child in me is sooo kilig!!!

Our YouTube 2025 Wrapped

No surprises at all. Taylor is still number one. I swear she’s been there forever, or at least since these year-end wrap things started. Obviosly, "The Fate of Ophelia" is high-key my love life anthem, lol.

Sabrina’s still at number two because I love her pettiness and her flirty-ass songs. Laufey is for when I’m feeling a little jazzy with some pop mixed in. Chappell Roan is for girl power, feminine chaos vibes. And Ariana is new on the list because I was listening hard to her new album lowkey therapeutic!

Spotify Wrapped is pretty similar. However, I was surprised for the top song lololol

That song “Dick” is such a good running song. It’s literally my go-to right before I hit start on Strava. I didn’t even realize I played that shit that many times,

but Spotify really said, “Yep, this is your top song.”... okay ma'am.

Jannabi made it on the list once again because this girl needs her K-indie phase every now and then. Honestly, I listen to them because they make hella sad songs.

The fuck is wrong with my listening age though!!! Can't a woman in her 30s like The Beatles, and Queen????

Duolingo update! The one thing I’ve actually been consistent with!

Imagine stepping outside a bar in Siquijor, slightly tipsy, just to talk to this bird in Nihongo???

I have also completed all the monthly badges for 2025. I'm so proud!!!!
Don't test my skills though.... I'm just here for the streak!

Since we kicked off our running era this year, we aso got a year-end wrapped on Strava too!

Total distance is 419K!!!!!!! that's craazy!

Hoepfully, we can improve our stats this year!

2025 was just the right amount of happy and sad. One thing I can say though, it was the most ADVENTUROUS year yet.

2026 started way way off already, maybe 2027 will be my year fr.

I do not have any expectations for this year, I will just go with the vibe and take everything with a grain of salt I read on the news though that Sagittarius will be one of the luckiest signs... Just surprise me because I'm sooo done expecting for things to be right only to be brokenhearted in the end.

I'm leaving 2025 with a grateful heart.

To the ones who made me happy and kilig - thanks, love

To the ones who gave me trauma - fuck y'all go to therapy.

To all the new experiences, I've enjoyed every bit of it.

To my friends and family - wishing y'all good health

To my future husband - can't bend me over when im 40 tf

To my kids - guess we'll just have to try in 2027

Here’s to more adventures, love, and everything in between.

xoxo
Grasya
